pull on some boots. a jumper as well. leave the i-things behind. then head outside. along the back track. take in the view. the autumn light. walk. talk. breathe. lungfuls of fresh air. clear your head. move your legs. burn some energy. connect with nature. soak up the sunshine. feel the calm seep in. notice the small things. see what's in flower. what the bees are busy with. pat a dog. chat with the neighbours. explore. discover. pick a dandelion clock. blow. roam up hills and down. work up a sweat. make the most of the season. before the rain comes. run on ahead. or dawdle behind. roll down a hill. make as much noise as you like. stop to pick up a stone. or watch some ants. we're in no hurry. nothing to do. just be. outside.
