No television reception and no internet connection
means time to sit and ponder.
To finally focus on the little being growing inside.
I've been devouring books with a voracious appetite.
Immersing myself in a world of gentle, intuitive, natural child birth.
The Little One has a new favourite book too.
We've also been exploring endless walk trails.
through dense forest and along waters edge.
Clocking up the kilometers each day.
Feasting on fresh, local produce.
Getting our meals back on track,
after the indulgent festive season.
Last week we tracked down a wonderful midwife,
the only one offering home births in this area.
And she's available!
. . . and today I enjoyed a delicious massage,
in a mud brick cottage,
nestled in the trees,
high on a hill overlooking the town.
Feeding the mind, body and soul.
Feeling healthier than I have in a long time.

ReplyDeleteIt sounds so nice. I had a home birth with my second, and it was wonderful. I felt so much more like myself afterward than I'd felt in the hospital the first time. Glad you found a midwife! Best wishes.
