an old woollen jumper

I wouldn't say I'm a hoarder. Just hate to see good things go to waste. Like this blue woollen jumper. Lovely it was. Only wore it twice, before it snuck its way into the hot wash.

And there it sat in my wardrobe for a year. Reminding me of my blunder. Just couldn't bring myself to throw it out.

Then one evening, a moment of creativity. A few snips. A bit of stitching. New buttons. Nothing more. Tada . . . a new poncho for The Little One. Along with some arm warmers for me and a couple of beanies to boot.

Now that's what I call upcycling!

  3. Great upcycling indeed! I especially love the multicoloured buttons and deep purple colour of the poncho. I should dive into my basket of felted woolies.
