i love living in a climate with distinct seasons. a hot dry summer and a cold wet winter. as one draws to a close i'm always itching to move onto the next. to pull new things from the wardrobe. to cook and eat different meals. to experience a shift in the way we live and play. i revel in the change.
early spring blessed us with a taste of sweet sunny days. they warmed us up and lifted my spirits. we peeled off the layers and ate outside. then the torrential rain and bitey cold returned again. it looks like king winter has decided to stick around a bit longer this year.
so we're planning a little winter break. heading from one end of the state to the other. searching for some sun. we'll be cooking beach bbqs. drinking cocktails and taking in tropical sunsets. warm bare skin and sandy toes. rest and relaxation. i can hardly wait!

Sounds wonderful Rachel! The Tropics would be my ideal destination right about now, Spring has upped and left Tassie too. Have the fantastic trip!!! Mel x
ReplyDeleteYou even got snow recently. That's some serious winter action!
DeleteEnjoy your break Rachel. Look at that adorable little baby...that photo makes me melt x
ReplyDeleteHe is rather yummy. I'm looking forward to him being a beach baby.
DeleteThat is a clever idea indeed. The winter snap tricked us in Margs too. I was buying seedlings and sunscreen and BAM back to uggs and slow cooking. Any day now me sun will reign supreme! Enjoy the break. Very envious. X ashley
