now we are five . . .








our first family outing as five. to the beach for a dose of salt water. the sun was setting. the light was golden. the water was warm and calm. a big moon rose in the east. we sighted our first whale for the season. i could have wept for the beauty of it all. for these gorgeous people i get to call mine. for this magic beach. for where we live
 . . . and for the happy hormones coursing through my system. life feels good.
