for her teachers . . .

today we planted succulents into tea cups ~
a little gift for aila's teachers to say thank you

this year they have taken her gently by the hand
and slowly led her into the big wide world

providing a creative nurturing environment
for her to spend her school days

where they sing and play and make and bake
in a beautiful enchanted wonderland

we look forward to more of the magic next year!

: :

{... and thank you so much for your messages of congratulations ~
this pregnancy has been tough, but I'm finally feeling good
and so pleased to share this happy news with you all}

  6. Those succulents in cups are so cool! I would love one and I'm not a teacher. My daughter's teacher will get chutney or jam I think. My mum was a primary school teacher and she always said the teachers got chocolates but secretly wanted a bottle of wine.

  7. What a lovely idea. I always struggle with teacher presents and I'm sure they get there far share of chocolates and smellies, but this would be a lovely alternative.

  8. As a succulent lover I have bookmarked this post because after Christmas I'm going to have to try this.

  9. What a lovely idea! So refreshing to see as gift ideas always seems to be jam, chutney, chocolates etc (not that they aren't great gifts, too!) I will pocket this little gem for future years - thank you! Your description of Aila's school makes me ache for Everly's Steiner experience one day - though I shouldn't wish it too soon ;)
