around here. . .

there's a tree in need of a star. there are christmas bells flowering by the fireplace. there are regular visits to the cherry man. there's thunder, rain and lightening. there are freshly mopped floors making me smile. and the scent of fresh pine too. there are small people making and baking a festive afternoon tea. there are a whole lot of exciting things planned for the new year. there's a two-year-old who insists on being called 'E'. there's a 'dum-dum' that will soon be given to father christmas. there's a to-do list that is long. plus a calendar that looks busy. there's every effort being made for simple and calm. there's a girl completely mesmerised and entertained by all things christmas. there are fingers crossed that parcels will arrive in time. there are summer holiday beach days just around the corner.

  3. Loved the peek into your home - it's lovely. I agree, freshly mopped floors do make one smile, at least for about ten minutes in our houses until they are covered in spills again. Gorgeous tree. x
