our christmas was. . .

. . . a wonderfully relaxed and fuss-free affair.

An early start to the day with a visit to the beach.
Sun, surf and sandcastles.
On the way home, an encounter with Father Christmas
on a fire truck, complete with flashing lights, siren and lollies.

Everyone together at The Shack for lunch.
Nine adults and two (and a bit) little ones around the trestle table.
An eclectic assortment of mismatched chairs and tableware.
Everybody contributing something scrumptious to the feast.

And in the days that followed...
Picnics by the river. Leftovers. A (big) boxing day bike ride.
Lounging and eating. Swims. Endless cherries.
All of The Little One's special people in her favourite place.

Hope you are enjoying a wonderful break too.

  3. So glad to have stumbled across your blog - it's lovely - I will definitely be visiting again. Denmark is one of our favourite towns to escape to and is a particular favourite of my husband who grew up there. Your Christmas celebrations look wonderful - the table looks so festive. Love all the photography on your blog too.
