my creative space

It's baby season around here. Spring must be on its way. So we're busy making itty bitty giftage.

A wave of boys it seems. It often happens that way, don't you think?

I consider myself a fairly proficient maker and creator of things for girls.
Lots of practice. Infinite ideas. Fabric and patterns galore. Endless options. . . for girls.

But with boys, I struggle.
Too cute. Gentle. Feminine.

Can you tell me, honestly? Would you put a baby boy in these?

You can see what others are up to right here.

  3. I'd put my son in them. I think the stripe down the side adds just the right boyish touch.

  7. g'day lucy thanks for stopping by

tile paint is White Knight, I used their cleaner too, but to be honest think this is a waste of money

the paint shop man told me that he did the whole of his bathroom in it and it was great - the reason being apparently that paint technology in this are i.e. melamine and tile painting has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years

anyway give it a go...mine couldn't of looked worse lol!

p.s. lowe those litle bloomers and I would put a boy in those, but then both my boys wore exactly those colours so....cannot stand to see this trendy thing of baby boys in black...

  12. I'd put them on my boy, but I think in general gingham is a bit girly, even in blue. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

  13. Definitely, absolutely. In fact I'm thinking of having one just so I can... I especially love the cool racing stripe down the side.. roll on baby season!

  14. I hardly have contact with toddlers, so I don't think I am in a position to give an opinion on this ;). But it is so adorable! Any child (boy or girl) will look so cute :)

  15. Yep, these work for baby boys - the red stripe makes it cute. You could even add a red footy number on the bot to make it even more boyey! Great job.

  17. Absolutely I would! I often wonder what I'd make if I had given birth to boys - it's not easy. We are tickled pink in this household. Love the stripes on the side.
