my creative space


It's baby season around here. Spring must be on its way. So we're busy making itty bitty giftage.

A wave of boys it seems. It often happens that way, don't you think?

I consider myself a fairly proficient maker and creator of things for girls.
Lots of practice. Infinite ideas. Fabric and patterns galore. Endless options. . . for girls.

But with boys, I struggle.
Too cute. Gentle. Feminine.

Can you tell me, honestly? Would you put a baby boy in these?

    Yes, Yes I would, particularly on a hot day with just a singlet, they are perfect. Brilliant! good boy stuff is so.....hard to find!

    I'd put my son in them. I think the stripe down the side adds just the right boyish touch.

    I'd put them on my boy, but I think in general gingham is a bit girly, even in blue. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

    Definitely, absolutely. In fact I'm thinking of having one just so I can... I especially love the cool racing stripe down the side.. roll on baby season!

    I hardly have contact with toddlers, so I don't think I am in a position to give an opinion on this ;). But it is so adorable! Any child (boy or girl) will look so cute :)

    Yep, these work for baby boys - the red stripe makes it cute. You could even add a red footy number on the bot to make it even more boyey! Great job.

    Sure! I'd put them on my son! They've got that awesome little racing stripe down the side that makes them perfect and sporty for a little guy!

    Absolutely I would! I often wonder what I'd make if I had given birth to boys - it's not easy. We are tickled pink in this household. Love the stripes on the side.
